We are proud to announce the release of the first-ever Global Map of Overseas Indians, meticulously compiled and designed by the Pravasi Setu Foundation using the latest 2025 data from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

This comprehensive map showcases the global distribution of Overseas Indians, reflecting the vast and vibrant presence of the Indian community in nearly every corner of the world—from the United States and Canada to the Gulf nations, from Europe to Southeast Asia, Africa, and Oceania.

🔍 What Does This Map Represent?

Unlike previous maps focused solely on Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), this map presents a holistic view of the entire Overseas Indian population, which includes:

NRIs: Indian citizens residing abroad for employment, education, or other purposes
PIOs: Foreign citizens of Indian ancestry
OCIs (Overseas Citizens of India): A special category of PIOs with extended residency and travel rights in India
