In a landmark contribution to Indian diaspora and migration studies, the Pravasi Setu Foundation has released the first-ever global map depicting the distribution of Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) in over 200 countries. This pioneering effort is based on official data from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India (2025).

- Shows countries in proportional shade based on PIO population
- Accurately represents India’s official international boundaries, including Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Arunachal Pradesh, in alignment with the Government of India’s cartographic position
